Ms. Capri was born Talia Capri Chambers on June 13, 1985 in Plainfield, NJ. Ms. Capri is the mother of 4 children. 1 son, 2 twin girls and 1 baby girl. Being born into a musical family, Ms. Capri also was born with the singing gene. Her mother sang as a younger child in church choirs and even was a lead singer in an amateur teenage group for a short period. Her Uncle is the late great Ronald Ford from the famous funk group Parliament. Following in her uncle’s footsteps, Ms. Capri sang every chance she got. Singing in school talent shows and later at open mics in the state of Virginia where she grew up. In 2001, at the age of 16 years of age, Ms. Capri had her first professional performance when her father who worked for Amtrak Train Station told his employer that his daughter sang. Ms. Capri was invited to come to her father’s employment and sing. On Christmas Eve, Ms. Capri performed Amazing Grace at the Union Station in Washington, DC on Satellite TV for Amtrak Train Station Christmas event. Ms. Capri style of singing was developed when her father introduced her to the Jill Scott Album who is Jill Scott. Since Ms. Capri introduction to Jill Scott, Ms. Capri has performed her rendition of Jill Scott songs all over the states, including but not limited to Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Georgia.
